About Me

I’m Evan Berger, RCC, a Registered Clinical Counsellor. I specialize in supporting youth, tradespeople, and new dads—people navigating big life changes, high-pressure environments, or the weight of stress and isolation.

My approach is practical, grounded, and compassionate. I draw on Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) and somatic therapy to help clients manage stress, reconnect with what matters most, and feel more at ease in their bodies.

My Professional Path

I’m a Registered Clinical Counsellor with a Master of Counselling Psychology. Before becoming a therapist, I earned a Bachelor of Education and built a career in the trades, holding a Red Seal Boilermaker Journeyman Ticket.

This mix of experiences allows me to connect authentically with people navigating high-pressure work, major life transitions, and personal challenges—whether in the classroom, on the job site, or at home.

Today, I bring these paths together in my counselling practice, offering a grounded, practical approach that blends professional training with lived experience.

Outside The Office

Outside of counselling, I spend much of my time outdoors—mountain biking, skiing, and exploring new trails. I’m also a father, which keeps me grounded, humble, and continually learning about patience and balance.

Family life is one of the reasons I’m passionate about supporting parents, especially new dads, as they navigate the challenges and rewards of raising children while managing work and personal pressures.
